Best Time to Bid on Quibids Auctions

The Question is asked by every Quibids user. What is the best time to bid? This is a complex question as it is not as simple as just saying after midnight or 2:30 pm. Of course Quibids would be much easier if it was. You can’t just look at how many people are signed in because Quibids will limit the amount of available auctions if there is not enough users. So lets look at a formula to make this concept tangible.
Let’s say Quibids only wants to have one item for every 200 users that are logged on. Then if at 3:00 pm there is only 2400 users logged on then they will only show 12 items. What this tells us is not matter how many users are logged in we should encounter about the same level of competition.
The problem with this formula is that it is not realistic. It only applies to a perfect world were all the users are spread out evenly in each auction. The truth is some items will be more popular than others. So at 3:00pm there might be 2400 users logged on but 800 of them might be all watching one auction leaving the other users to spread out unequally amongst the other 11 items.
So how can we use this information to our advantage? This tells us that if you are going for a high ticked item it is probably best to go for it when there is less users logged in. The competition levels will be the same as when the max amount of users are logged in but you can’t argue the fact it would be easier to win an auction when only 800 users are watching it then it is when 1600 users are watching it. This also tells us that it is probably best to bid on low ticket items when Quibids has higher numbers of logged in users. This is because there will be more high ticket items available that will pull the majority of the users to them leaving the smaller items unattended and because there are more items people are more prone to surf the items and not actually bid. Leaving even less bidders to fight for the smaller ticket items.
Now we must find out when there are high or low counts of logged in users. This is easy; create a list from 1 to 24. Each number will represent an hour of the day starting with 1am. Then next to each number write out what the majority of people are doing at this time.

Any of the times marked with Free will have the most amount of competition as this is the only time most people can log on and bid on Quibids. You can refine this list by considering other work schedules. College kids. House wife’s or husbands. High Schoolers, Night shift workers and so on.  Any area that is busy by multiple groups is probably going to produce the lowest numbers on Quibids for those hours. Don't forget to consider how schedule change for weekends and holidays.
